How to Measure Your Bangle Size

Method 1: Using an Existing Bangle

  1. Take a well-fitting bangle.
  2. Place it on a ruler.
  3. Measure the inside diameter in cm.
  4. Match the measurement with our chart.

Method 2: Using Your Hand Measurement

  1. Bring your thumb and little finger together.
  2. Wrap a measuring tape around the widest part of your knuckles.
  3. Note the circumference in cm.
  4. Compare with our chart above to find your perfect size.

Quick Tips

  • Always measure on your dominant hand (slightly bigger).
  • If you’re between two sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
  • Metal / rigid bangles = exact fit. Adjustable bangles = flexible fit.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1. Measuring the Wrist Instead of the Knuckles

  • Why it’s wrong: Bangles must slide over your knuckles, not just sit on your wrist.
  • Fix: Always measure the widest part of your hand—your knuckles—while making a fist

2. Using a Loose or Stretched Thread

  • Why it’s wrong: Threads can stretch or shift, giving inaccurate circumference.
  • Fix: Use a firm paper strip or a non-stretchable string for better precision

3. Not Accounting for Hand Dominance

  • Why it’s wrong: Your dominant hand (the one you write with) is usually slightly larger.
  • Fix: Measure the dominant hand for a more accurate fit

4. Rounding Measurements Too Early

  • Why it’s wrong: Small differences in diameter (even 1–2 mm) can affect fit.
  • Fix: Note the exact measurement first, then match it to the closest bangle size

5. Ignoring Fit Preference

  • Why it’s wrong: Some prefer snug fits, others like a looser feel.
  • Fix: Decide if you want a tight, comfort, or loose fit before finalizing the size

6. Assuming “Free Size” Fits Everyone

  • Why it’s wrong: “FS” or Free Size bangles may not suit very small or broad hands.
  • Fix: Stick to exact measurements if you want a secure and elegant fit.
